Régis Loisel - A drawn retrospective

From June 17th 2022 to september 17th 2022, The André Malraux library introduced a retrospective of Regis Loisel's works, great comics artist for more than 50 years.

The exhibition Régis Loisel - Retrospective deals with the question of showing the continuity which resides in all of Loisel's work, whether it be his work as an illustrator or as a screenwriter. Authenticity is perhaps one of the terms that best defines his work. His characters are treated in a raw and cold realism, so as not to omit any of the details of their tormented psychology.

Undisputed master of Heroic Fantasy with The Quest for the Bird of Time, very dark taker of the mythical Peter Pan of Barrie, or even extra-lucid portraitist of the inhabitants of Notre-Dame-des-Lacs, Loisel has constantly reinvented his art style while maintaining a great accuracy in the interpretation of the heart of men.
